Warping: Shingles that aren’t laying flat on your roof may be letting moisture in, an are particularly susceptible to wind damage. Look for curled or otherwise misshapen shingles.
Crumbling: Colorado sunshine can also accelerate shingle decay. Look for missing chunks or ragged edges as signs that your shingles have soaked up too much sun.
Splitting: Extreme heating and contraction that comes with sun and cold can also cause shingles to crack and split.
